I hate my computer

sorry Im just pissed at it I just hooked another hardrive to it (when in was off and cor unplugged) so I hooked the ide and power cord in then I tryed to turn it on and it wouldnt go onso I looked and the green light on the motherboard is still on all the usb ports are working but the fans the hardrives and the led power lights dont work what happened this computer is my baby please help

sounds like a bad power supply or maybe the motherboard, or worse, both. Just because you get a green light on the MB doesn't mean it is working. I would try another power supply or disconnect the power supply from the MB and see if it will run one of your fans. If not then your PS is bad. If it works then I would say your MB has been destroyed. Good luck!

 

omg you sound like the grim reaper well wth I mean all my usb still work the so it cant be the mother board right I mean I got another power supply Ill try it cross your fingers

 

it could be that PSU is not got high enough wattage to run all of the hardware. if you can can tou find out the wattage of the psu coz that use to stop me using a garphics card. try to unhook some other hardware like cd rom drive and and taking out pci cards then try it.

 

well right now I dont have anything running on it just the board I guess the board is messed up OMG I cant believe this happened well I have a case and 400 watt power supply so now I have no computer until I make mine it sucks but what can I do you know well okay you can help I think all I need is a new motherboard and I noticed that this one I have the power connector thing is too big for it so can you help me find a good board?

 

i think you need to get the right psu for that pc

Going by the board he told us he needs a socket 478.

and well the cheapest amount possible I use it for interent music downloading photoshop and movies

 

ye that would be right on your front about the socket. i would recermend this asrock board i got one of thease for £30 about a mouth ago had no problems yet.

lol ok like 100 for a mother board and just use the cpu I have now and the memorY I have I dont know about a video card do I need that same thing with a sound card I have 2 500 GB sata drives and 1 80 gb IDE drive and I have this case
