That sucks about the board, I know quite a few people who have them and they all love them.
    Even Sammorris has one.

600W PSU =/= your PC using 600 watts, it probably doesn't even use 200.

i know that my comp might not even take that much of power but when it comes to parents ,just the numbers of watt makes em go like that is very heavey.wat have u put inside the comp.are you crazy.so to convince them that the computer doesnt eat that much electricity wanted a solid point to convince them

You might point out to your Mom that the price of electricity has gone up just as everything else has here in the states. I assume it's the same in the UK. Why not reason with her that you will turn off the pc and all peripherals when you are not using it. She might go for that especially if you get a lower bill for the effort. If she saves her bills maybe you could compare the usage hasn't gone up so much, as the cost has.

    Or even better.

Start by saying you've thought about what they said and have decided that instead of using the PC so much and running up the electricity bill, your going to spend more time with your new mates from down the road.

One of them is teaching you how to shoot straight whilst wearing a ski mask, another how to jimmy locks and hot wire cars and another where to score A class drugs in the local area and where the best dogging areas are.

Chances are she'll switch the PC on for you and lock you in the room.

Everything has a price, even if its not financial.

    Haha, well put BigDK.
jsafi: You're a bit cagey about which CPU you have (as you haven't told us in your other thread either) but if it's a typical dual core, that config isn't going to use over 250W when gaming.

Lol, well no hard feelings intended I'm sure, but my parents took the same view. Gaming is by far the lesser of the world's many evils...

Whilst I put it in a way that was intented to raise a smile, the serious point was supposed to be there about what it was keeping you from doing.
