Hi I'm kind of a computer noob, so please bare with me.

I have a laptop that has a total of 80gb of harddrive space (divided into one 50gb and one 30 gb)

i recently reinstalled windows xp, and something must have happened in the process because now i only have the one 50gb drive.

does anybody know what could have happened and how to fix it?

    thanks a bunch!

You should be able to get it back by going to Device manager and Disk Management and the 30gigs should be there but it will not be alocated. you need to click on it and first mount it and then or if its mounted try making the drive active etc... This should bring it back.
