Over the course of a very long time I have managed to download every South Park epsiode to date. The problem is that I cannot figure out a way to burn them to CD or DVD. The file types listed are "real player presentations" it says. Eventually I'd love to get to the point that I can view them on a stand alone dvd player. CD/DVD doesnt really matter, all I know is that they are taking up way too much room on my hard drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, Try running one of the episodes through GSpot to determine what format it's in At any rate here's a guide to give you a rough idea of what the process is like: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/convert_avi_to_dvd.cfm Take a gander and if you have some more questions feel free to post back
Thanks Neph, Ok did the gspot thing and it said this.. File type: Real Media (.RM) Mime Type: application/vnd.rn-realmedia Any ideas?
Hmmmm Real Media. I'm not sure if TMPGEnc or VirtualDubMod even handle Real Media. The only converter I could find quickly on Google costs $$ but it does have a trial period. You may find a freeware converter if you search google a bit longer than I did. What all this means is that you need to be able to convert those files into something usable such as AVI or MPEG-1/2 before you can put them into the proper DVD format.
I believe X Video Converter will do what you want, but it cost bucks. http://www.xvideoconverter.com/
