it's not a chip, it's the usb converter, i might have a chip in about a month or two, depends on what i get first an led screen or a chip, right now i'm getting my box a new crystal put on, so i'm just waiting on that, till then i can't do much

 

I have no idea what UnleashX is or where to get it, hey shoker can u get me some info on what to do, you've been a great help, and the link to download SID 4.0 is either expired or it just isn't workin' for me

good, is SmartXX a good modding program? or what is it, cuz right now i'm frustrated about all this different stuff, i thought it would be a lot easier to softmod it than to install a chip, is it? cuz i'm savin' up for a chip now, i know chips are more expensive, but i don't have a lan cable, a router, nuthin', but i'm a determined mother fusker, so which is easier?

i've also downloaded some maps from some sites like halomods.com, but all of them say that they are corrupted when i try to extract the files, what's up with that?

 

i just realized i don't know waht version my box is, help me figure it out

 

and i've been searching and there aren't many easy ways to find out if it's a v.1.0,2.0,3.0,4.0,5.0,6.0a,6.0b, w/o takin' apart my box

 

SmartXX is a company that makes mod chips, not a soft-modding program.

It depends how good your soldering skills are, or you could always just get a mod-chip with a solderless adapter which makes it alot easier to install. If you were to get a chip I would recommend getting an Xcecuter 3,Xenium Gold, or the Smart XX 3. They are the lastest and best chips on the market. But you could always get the DuoX 2 which is a pretty good chip and is really cheap. It all depends on what you want to do with your xbox. Are you planning to upgrade the hard drive or anything?

No XBMC will be fine. I think it's a pretty good deal if you really want a lcd screen. You might want to find out if extreme-mods is a good and reliable place to buy from.

 

that's understadable, but does divineo have lcd screens? and this one site that i was on, i can't think of the name for it, it had links to divineo, extreme-mods, and xbox-hq, and that seems to be a lot easier of a way to figure out which version my xbox is, thanks

 

I'm not sure if Divineo has lcd screens because I didn't see any.. And for extreme-mods I think I've seen the ad before on xbox-scene.

 

that's where i found it, and are there any other rhings i should get with the Xecutioner3.0, and do any modding chips u know of that conflict with each other, will it conflict if i softmod and get a chip?
