I'm not sure but why would you need both a softmod and a chip?

 

you don't need a softmodm if you are getting a chip

O the name of the chip is Xecuter 3 CE and that is what I highly reccomend getting.......If you don't know how to solder i would get the solderless adapter

i don't have the money for a chip yet, and i want to figure it out beforehand, do u have to do anything else after installing a chip to FTP into ur box?

Oh, sorry i took ages to reply, i didnt realise you replied about my sig lol. That is a little computer mind reading thingy. By the way, i have a question, seeing as your talking about modchips and what not, i want to mod my xbox so that i can mod Halo 2 and stuff, now i am stuck bewteen the SmarXX V3 modchip and the Xecuter 3CE modchip, which one should i use?

 

tiny problem with flashfxp got all the codes typed in into the xbox i'm practicing on, which i'm going to use as a big ass memory card, it's not softmodded yet, and i'm going to softmod it, until i get a chip, and it says "no route to host," and it sucks either way even if i can't get into the system i still want to make sure that everything i'm doing is being done right, thanx guys, u've been a big help, seriously

 

Your xbox has to be softmodded or hardmodded in order to FTP.

 

okay, but do u know if i need a straight-through ethernet cable or a crossover ethernet cable, and i'm using a laptop to do the modding stuff, if that has anything to do with it

Im having trouble soft modding i got the dashboared and eveything but i deleted all my stuff on it like linux and all that if i deleted all those off my xbox is that a problem i still have the new dashboared tho so if any one can help me thx

 

If you are using a router, then you can use a ethernet cable. If you are directly connecting your laptop to your xbox, the you need a crossover cable.

I got the NewDashboard And evry thing.. But i Deleted all of the linux Files Off my Xbox When i got the new Dashboard is this bad?
Im stuck and this new Dashboard EvoX or something.. And i cant do much on it.. I cant even go to my own memory card can some one tell me wtf is going on thx..

 

i have evo x, ya u can do is put more stuff in the apps menu and have more dash's and linux and all that
