I Need Help Upgrading An Old AGP PC

    mine is the 1gig version wereas that is the 2gig version. don't know about that card as i got a friend for christmas i think the g260 version with 1gig of ram with same connectors as mine. paid between $40-$50Can for it this past christmas.

    Last thing, should i get this Mobo/CPU to go with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 275 ?
    Reckon i could get the Mobo/CPU/GFX card for about £100..
    Then all i would need is a Case/Ram/HDD/PSU.

    I could get the Quad core & board for about £60 including P&P.
    The GFX card for about £45 including P&P.
    Just not sure if it's worth it tho !?

    Was thinking along the lines of Starcraft II, Pro Evolution Soccer 13, Half Life 2 etc.
    But quite like the look of the new Tomb Raider, Dead Space 3 & GTA V.

    Would this rig along with decent Ram etc handle those ?

    Just won the Geforce GTX 275 for £36 & £10 P&P !

    The requirements for Dead Space 3 is :-

    OS: Win XP (SP3), Vista (SP1) or Win 7

    CPU: 2.8 GHz processor or equivalent

    RAM: 1 GB RAM (XP), 2 GB RAM (Vista or Windows 7)

    GPU RAM: 256MB Video Card and Shader Model 3.0 required

    GPU NVIDIA: GeForce 6800 or better (7300, 7600 GS, and 8500 are below minimum system requirements)

    GPU ATI: X1600 Pro or better (X1300, X1300 Pro and HD2400 are below minimum system requirements)

    HDD: At least 10GB of hard drive space for installation, plus additional space for saved games.



    Tomb Raider :- (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS)

    OS: Windows XP Service Pack 3

    CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 1.86GHz or AMD Athlon 64 2.1GHz 4050+

    RAM: 1GB System Memory

    GPU: Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT or ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT

    DX: DX 9

    HDD: 12 Gb Free Hard Drive Space

    that card will do it as will the quad core\motherboard\4gig ram.

    Lost out on the Motherboard/CPU by £1.01 :(
    It went for £71.01.
    Need to track down something simiilar or better !

    personally i like the specs for number 2 choice. im not as knowledgable as some on this so im sure ddp will chime in.its a micro atx mother board? dont know what that means in terms of compatibility with your video card choice or pwer supply.

    #2 is alright & is cheaper too. uatx means not as many espansion slots compared to atx.
