    I have already read through many posts about .bin and .cue files on this website, but nothing seemed to answer my questions. I am trying to burn a file using nero. i have the .cue and .bin file, but when i tried to burn the .cue file like you said by going to burn cd image in nero, it only put that little text document on there and waisted the cd. But i did try to use just the .bin file by the same message, and it actually did put the game on there. i go to install the game, but there is always a error message while installing, and it wont let me play the game. i have tried this on many games, like 10 that i have downloaded, but every one had an error but one, and it is very glitchy. sometimes they're .iso, but most of the time with newer games, they are .cue and .bin. Do i need to use the .cue files? i maid sure i burned the image at a slow speed, but the installation still has errors. i would really appreciate if someone could help me cuz im sik of waisting cds on something that doesnt even work. thanks

    You're not the first to report this Nero error. Which version do you use?

    The proper path to follow is:
    - if nero wizard starts at once, click 'cancel'
    - choose File--->Burn Image
    - Open--->Image file (.nrg, .cue .iso)-->load the cue file
    - select the write speed then Burn

    If Nero puts the CUE on the disc instead of the image then Nero is doing a 'New--> CD-ROM(ISO)' not an image burning.

    If you notice prolems, I would sugegst to install Alcohol 120%, instead. With Alcohol you are sure to avoid wrong burning and, if you know the image comes from a protected CD, you can select a different 'Datatype' to help you burning a working backup.

    Read those threads:
