ya i am gonna get a newer one with atleast 400 watt. if that is good enough. and once i get the video card is my amd athlon 64 be of for playing games good in medium or high detail.
nah any Athlon64 is good enough for high end games. In games performance, since most games only address one core, my X2 only appears as a 3500+, and that runs games well enough!
go to "http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?pfp=BROWSE&N=200105+4294967040+4294967171+4294964841&Ne=303923&product_code=341271&Pn=GeForce_7600_GS_OC_Video_Card" and tell me how this looks like. should i get it tell me what u think. and a "http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?pfp=BROWSE&N=200089&Ne=200000&product_code=336407&Pn=600_Watt_ATX_12V_2_01_PC_System_Power_Supply" tell me what u think and please explain if i should get it. would it be fine and be able to run all the new games on high or medium detail.
Yeah that's not a bad card for the price considering it's AGP. I didn't even know BFG made Power supplies! Howeverm I'd also recommend this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817128001
Well, I'd try for a 7300GT. X1300 Pros would probably match them, but they're typically more expensive.
ok sammoris thanks i just got a nvidia geeforce 7600gs OC agp8x and a 512 mb ddr2 from bfg. also a extra 1 gig ram so i just put it in and it not just works it kicks ass. it runs mostly every thing i have(COD2, fear, battlefeild 2 etc) on high and never lags. u guys how long u think this video card gonna last like i mean how long can i use it until games for other much faster cards come out? please tell me...
A 7600GS? Probably about there, to be honest. At high detail, a low to mid range card won't last long.
