I'm new to DVD ripping/burning, not new to Macintosh. I have a PowerBook G4, lots of memory, fast, etc., I have Tiger OS, and I think my computer must really hate me. I read about people having problems ripping their CSS-encoded DVDs onto Popcorn because there was a bug, on the Roxio site there's a patch & that solved my first problem. So here's my newest problem...

I have MacTheRipper & Roxio Popcorn. So I ripped a full version of Alfie, it's a TS_video and TS_audio file, and I figure that's all good... So I open up popcorn and I take a blank DVD-R disc and put it in, it spit my disc back out! So I put in an Imation double layer DVD+R disc and it did the same thing! I have had nothing but trouble with my computer and I feel like I must be doing something wrong, but all the guides I've checked don't point out any new steps.

    Oh, if this helps:
I believe Popcorn says I'm using "Mashita CD-RW CW-8123".. I have no idea what that means :( I just want to back up my dvds lol. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

    TIA

It is impossible to burn DVDs if you do not have a DVD burner. The Mashita CD-RW CW-8123 is a combo-drive and not a Superdrive.

Thanks, I went down to my computer store and they thought it was pretty funny.
