You're a genius! I played an original disk for quite a while but did eventually get the dirty disk error again. It's definitely an improvement however as I couldn't rip or play any disk before. I also ripped and played a backup without getting any error. Thanks.
[bold]OVERSTATEMENT!![/bold] but thank you. If you're still have issues make sure that your dashboard has the latest BIOS installed as well your chip (if it has a chip). You might even try using a different dash. I would recommend any others than AvaL & EvoX but whatever works for you and is error free I'm sure is the answer.
Well I just got Conker live and reloaded and the original plays but the rip is giving me a dirty disk error now. The opposite of what timesplitters was doing. the original wouldn't play but rip gives me no trouble. I have a v. 1.0 softmodded and have been warned strongly against playing with the bios. I'm thinking since the system is so old, I might get a new drive. Would that remedy the dirty disk errors completely or what?
