ibm lap top drivers

    i have an IBM thinkpad i series 1400 its about 5 years old and i had the OS changed from win98 to xp. problem is the battery drivers wont charge up?

    you don't charge battery drivers but the batteries itself. the battery pack might be dying of old age if it doesn't hold a charge as long as before.

    thanks for the reply

    the batteries dont even hold a drop of charge, i dont think it is the batteries because, the lap top was designed for win98, and as soon as i put on a stripped down version of XP on the batteries have never charged again, is this a problem with XP or do i need to pub win 98 back on or do i just put the drivers on if so where do i get them from?
