I'm trying to put together a wish list for the parts needed for an HTPC just so I can determine the cost. The only problem is that I'm not sure what to look for when purchasing each component. I have an old pc which I plan on upgrading to view hd shows, record at least two shows and possibly hook up to a projector later on. Can anyone give me some pointers or resources to help? Cheers.
hard drives need to be big like at least 320gb, gpu not as important but try and find a passive cooled one, same with psu try and get one designed for the loungroom (quiet) id also recommend 2 tv tuners, makes life a lot easier as far as brands, im slack i buy whats cheapest
