Often easy to blame software/hardware when the problem could be operator malfunction.

Would suggest checking in your Device Manager to ensure that it is still in DMA and not PIO mode for starters.

Have been using Shrink for over 12 months without any problems.

    Other possible causes could be:
    1. Hard Drive not recently defragmented.
    2. Spyware on system.
    3. Poor quality media.
    4. Limited available hard disk space.
    5. Software conflicts (e.g., Roxio, Interactual, InCD).
    6. Bad orignal DVD.

    Thats for starters.

It's written by someone for sure. *_*
Seriously, sometimes completely uninstalling and reinstalling the software helps.
