    Books i have read in the past few weeks:

    To Kill a Mockingbird
    Lord of the Flies
    Of Mice and Men (started)

    Just thought I'd share that little gem with you all ;)

    all three are staples, usually required reading in high school. always worth a re-read, too. ^.^

    Yes indeed lol - I am doing of mice and men for gcse at school and the others (only rly Lord of the Flies) took my interest but worth a read too :)

    I am also a fan of steven king - want to read Cell and have read a few of his short stories eg. The man in a black suit; good book imo.

    Another book i thought was quite good was Tree of Night by Truman Capote.

    Just finished that one ^ ^ ^ recently.

    Cell is an incredible read. i couldn't put it down. wasn't capote's book made into the movie Capote?

    Cool, I will be getting Cell then. Could do with a good read; something to inspire me (coursework essay is to wrtie a gothic/thriller story)

    And um i am not sure about the film. Will have a look.

    @ripper! What a coincidence i just started of mice and men at my school for my GCSES! What year you in? Have you done coursework on it???

    I am year 10. At the moment we have not started reading it but that's what i have been told we will be studying :)

    And nah my first coursework essay is to write a thriller horror story.

    Im in year 10 too. Were like on chapter 2 aswell so just started it aswell! Its a great book from what ive read although quite sad!

    Hehe cool. Yes from what he [our teacher] tells us it is good but sad. Will have to keep me updated on how things go/ what you get for coursework etc.

    I'm predicted A* for my gcse english lol Wah! That's going to be hard work LOL
