    - update to 7.0.1.2 from here - http://www.nero.com/nero7/eng/nero7-up.php

    - your burner's firmware is up to date, however it was last updated March 2004 - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=315 however the blank discs you're using aren't being recognised, see further down my comments

    - not good. you got no free memory, you need to close down more programs prior to ALL dvd work/burning to free up more memory

    - the blank discs you're using aren't being recognised, here's an example (not the best example as it's CMC ie crap media but it's an example) of what it should look like. if firmware is up to date you'd have a 3line paragraph here like this -

    - even though your burner's not recognising the discs, we can use a free program such as dvd identifier to at least find out what exact discs you have there. download from here - http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_identifier.cfm and use it to 'identify' one of those discs and paste results here.

So basically the firmware's up to date (too old though), and either way the discs you're using are newer than your burner knows what to do with, so you may need to buy 'older' discs that are catered for on the firmware. You discs may be too 'new' for the firmware or it could be that the manufacturer has given up on updating the firmware; happens a lot with drives, they keep pushing out new drives and the firmware for older models gets left behind..

ugh!, - crap media - from your reply -
Remember in my previous reply i used an example of CMC Discs and it turns out you've got similar discs to my example. Ugh!.

Apart from the fact your burner can't recognise those 8x CMC Magnetics discs - see this from my sig - "..Memorex/CMC/Imation - don't let them near your Burner..." - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/232406

this is exactly the problem with crap quality media, it's inconsistent.

but crap discs aside, the crux of it is this - your burner's firmware simply cannot recognise/use those discs correctly, as it's firmware isn't equipped to know what to do with them
