i just purchased one and i was reading the instructions and it says,it does not tansfer the output signal from the dvd recorder to yor tv.. is there anyway i can go around this? i cant hook it up to go through my brighthouse digatal cable box!

I have both instruction manuals for the R04 and RHD04 I have one recording at present from a satellite siginal that also goes to a TV with the same siginal It will pass through or play to a TV PS if its a ilo 05 model I have one also. What you are probably referring to is that the DVD signal from the recorder is not transmitted to the TV via the cable/RF out. To watch a DVD or play a DVD recording, you have to connect the DVD recorder to the TV via the composite outputs (yellow/red/white RCA connections). The RF out will only give you the built in tuner or pass thru the cable signal.
heres the problem. i hooked up everyting. when i turn the recorder on, and push source, i go to channel 3 of the source thing and it says no signal and has a whole bunch of squiggly lines!! help
