I managed to connect in using DCC - from the remote, I went to Menu/Setup/system/Network and edited the existing IP to a .24 address on my subnet.

It has a bootloader of 72 and it's PLi Jade

I'll download that file and put that on - is it safe putting that on a clone?

The box seems to jam up frequently if I scroll quickly through the menus and I have to wait a minute or two or power cycle - has anyone encountered this?

    Thanks for the help

I need to clarify a few things, when you say DCC you mean dreambox control center ? thats not a lot of use to you realy,.. the rapidshare link I posted has a patched nabilosat image for the clone 800hd with bootloader 72 so it's ok to use. see here for more images,..did you follow the instructions in the pdf file link I posted ?

    I mean Dreambox control centre.

I downloaded the file and know I need to use Dreamup to apply - I'll do that this evening so.

I followed the help file instructions and they were very clear - I just have one last query - has any else experienced the remote control issue I'm having - where it freezes up if you navigate too fast and you have to wait a few minutes or power cycle?

    thanks..

The method of flashing covered in the pdf file is much easier,..to get started hold in the standby button on the box whilst pluging in the power cable at the rear of the dreambox,..keep the button held in until you see the ip address on the lcd screen, the box in now ready to be flashed,..the 800 has a built in web interface & you just type the ip of the dreambox into the your web browser url box & up pops the interface on your PC screen,..then click "firmware upgrade" locate the image you want to flash on your PC & away you go,...dead simple & no need for dreamup or other software,..the remote issue can be improved by upgrading your bootloader to 72 r1 here ,..you can also use the web interface to flash the bootloader.

Lovely, I was browsing through the web interface last night - I'll use that so - should I do a backup before applying to boot loader update or the other flash image you posted?

Last question - does anyone know what size clips in mm I need to clip the S*y RG6 cable onto the wall from the LNB?

I applied the bootloader and flash image you posted and it seemed to work fine - though I still had to use the remote from standing in front of the box.

I followed the help file and downloaded software updates - I rebooted the box and now have the following error on screen:

ERR01: NO CA FOUND error on the lcd and no boot

Can anyone advise what I need to do??

yeh,...that happend to me also but with the jade image, I went for the update software option from the menu & my box did the same as yours,
what happened was that your bootloader got overwritten,..don't worry just download bootloader 72 or 72 r1 here & flash it to the box following the instructions in the pdf file again,..your image should be still on the box, if not just flash it again....don't use the update option again as it can download something thats not compatible with the clone versions,..72 r1 improves the remote responce,

I tried loading the bootloader through dreamup and it gets as far as 'Waiting for acknowledgement' and then a system message appears saying:

System message - hardware could not be verified - contact Dreambox support

I tried loading the box in standby, holding in the power button to load the image through the browser, but the previous error pops up straight away

I tried loading the image through Dreamup, but it wont work

How did you reload your image/bootloader??

just checking my memory there,..yes you use dreamup with a null modem cable, download the latest version as I found older versions of dreamup did not work,.with the dreambox powered off & no power cable connected start dreamup & follow the on screen prompts.

The flash worked, but I now have this error on boot:

    dhcp...
    /flash/bootlogo.elf

I've tried booting a few times - going to leave it for tonight unless anyone has seen this error before?

    Cheers

I'm nearly there - fixed that problem by re-flashing twice.

I just to load/update the ccam - > I can't find it on the menu anywhere

    My box info:

    Enigma Version: HEAD-Jul 5 2009
    Image Version: dev-2009-06-27
    Bootloader:SecondStage-72-R1-DM800-dreamboxclones.co.cc.nfi
    Image: NabiloBlackHole-11-BL72-dreamboxclones.co.cc.nfi

Can anyone tell me how to update using this image?

    Thanks
