Img Burn write speed problem

    ok guys, i have installed the firmware, and just tried to burn a dvd and again, there is a gap in the DVDabout a quarter inch in from the center, the only way i have ever got this thing to burn without the gap is when i burn on 2X speed, i would be more than happy writing at that speed if i could, is there anything else that may be the problem

    I would opt for a new drive/burner then.sounds like its on its last legs, they run 25 to 40 bucks for good ones

    sweet, i didnt know you could get dvd burners for that cheap, any certain brand i should look for

    1. Pioneer DVR-112 is very good , can't booktype with Pioneer though
    2. Lite-On are great drives also
    3. Samsung

    newegg.com is the best place if your buying online
