    @jpaugh78,
Evidently you need to read the rules.

So you see there is no need for the 3 warnings at all, and in this instance I happen to agree with Neph on this one. Your buddy was way out of line, and it starts to question your own personality as to why you would stick up for him. I for one wouldn't want anything to do with someone like that in my personal life. So why would I have anything to do with him here?

So if a moderator gives you a warning consider yourself lucky, and that they are doing so out of the goodness of there heart.

    @ jpaugh78

    This is what I wrote,

Pay very close attention to the very first word I used in that statement. I have very little doubt as to who you are so let's all play nice and as herbsman already suggested - drop the subject.

I did drop the subject. Don't you see me hiding in the corner? Hehe.

Most sites i frequent just censor language if they have a problem with it, not ban the people. I agree he has a bit of a problem with cursing and that he shouldn't have said the things he did. I've had a rough day today, and i just wasn't reading exactly what had happened right. I appologize for being a hassle to the moderators of this site.

i tried using a program called MagicISO which did convert the movie to bin with a .cue file but i still no luck and i dont no how to change extension itself unless u mean converting the file to .iso which i had also tried but i still had no luck

i tried extracting the .vob files but it would jus say my drive wasnt ready when it came time to burn or that there was no disc present i mounted them on the virtual drive that came with Alchol 120% and watched em.

I was pretty pissed that I couldnt put 1 of the movies on disc though it was for my cousins birthday but now i guess ill have to scrounge up a bit of cash i dont wanna sound like a cheap/poor ass but when your not working thats just the facts

darew , are ya using a decent -R media ?
I/O error usually occurs if the disc is dirty/scratched/faulty etc.

its a memorex disc they cost like 3 bucks each and bought from future shop so i cant see it being bad i checked the cd everything is fine theres not a single scratch s i think it could be my system is screwed up

i have had alot of problems with my computer i have had to reboot it twuce since i bought it in november and i have burned this type of file format before so im really perplexed as to whats going on with my burner and computer

also can anyone recomend some good virus protection

    omg not memorex!

as for virus protection the 2 i know are norton, by symantec, and mcafee by network associates. there are even freebie ones, but there's basically lots of choice.

Couple words of advice about that... Never ever buy Memorex again!!! Absolutly the bottom of the barrel as far as media goes.

I would also never ever buy media from Future Shop again either. 3 bucks each!! Holly Cow!! they must have saw you comming, and for memorex at that..

Yes Memorex has been know to not burn at all..

Maxell, FujiFilm, Sony, Verbatim Data Life plus would all be a good start, but anything is better than Memorsux's!

alright looked over the guide and i'll go buy some maxell or TDK discs but the thing is burned a movie of the same format with a memorex disc like 2-3 weeks ago and it came out great so i dont know?

this is how i have been trying to burn the media:

    i click record in nero

    then burn image

    i choose my file (.IMG)

and the it says waiting for drive to become ready but it never becomes ready is it the memorex cd that is crap that is making my drive not ready?

    Probably not..

Do you have any packet writing software installed on your computer? Like Nero's InCD for instance? Or maybe Direct CD from Roxio?
