Hi to everyone....if there is anyone that can help with this matter, I will be very very grateful. I am very new to burning and I followed the guide on this site faithfully (http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/422740) to the letter. I got all the way to final step and then ImgBurn refused to burn the copy. It came up with the message "device not ready (medium not present - tray closed)" The green arrow will not light and I am really stuck....Can someone please please help?
Tools > Drive > Capabilities to verify that it sees the drive, then press the 'Check Firmware Update' button.
post the info in the top circle, and we will help find if you need a firmware update Also what brand of media are you using?
hi, really sorry but i don't know how to copy the screen image so i wrote down what it says in the box: TSSTcorp CDRWDVD TS-H493A D200 (ATA) Current Profile: N/A I am using Sony stuff. Thanks for trying, really very grateful...
You put the CD in the drive and the button turns green? Your original post indicated that you were trying to burn a DVD. The point of "Tools > Drive > Capabilities" is to find out if you have a DVD burner. The 'capabilities' should indicate the types of DVD that it can read or write.
i think that is not a dvd burner reading from this other post, your drive is a CD burner/DVD-Rom, that would be a good reason why you cant burn dvds http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/478730
