    This is for all you people out there with iPods... Do not download songs from limewire onto your iPod!!! I know it sucks, but you have to just pay 99 cents for your songs because the format messes up your iPod. I downloaded a couple songs from limewire (not anymore that i know its illegal althought i was paying for it) and it totally ruined my iPod and the battery wouldnt work at all. Just to let you guys know because i know many have been purchased and they arent cheap. Thanks.

    Hmm... I have three roomates we all have iPods and we all use limewire. We've never had a problem...nor my girlfriend, my friend LZ, my ex girlfriend, my brother, my cousin or my neighbor.

    Must be an isolated incodent.

    I think if you were paying for songs through limewire you were getting hosed by someone.

    What format were you trying to put on it?

    You can quite easily put limewire tunes onto your iPod, have a look at the first question of my FAQ;

    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/295183

    If you are paying to use Limewire, (unless it is limewire Pro) then it is not a genuine version of Limewire. As ~Ronin~ states, someone's ripping your off there. And no, Limewire is [bold]not [/bold]illegal -- but the sharing of copyrighted materials without permission is.

    I can assure you that putting mp3 files onto iPods don't harm the battery. I have many songs on various iPods downloaded from p2p networks such as Limewire, with no such problems.

    @Lethal_B: Thats a very impressive guide you have there. I'll be honest, I had a few things I was fuzzy on but just by skimming your guide they were cleared up. Excellent Job!

    Thanks, buddy. It's actually nowhere near finished as it only covers about 20% of the questions I get asked everyday, but I add to it when I get time.

    Glad it helped you.
