Improving quality on vhs rip

    Hi all,
    I buddy of mine ripped an old vhs tape to supervideocd, (why I dont know) I would like to know is there any software available for improving the quality or could I just convert the supervideocd to mp3 to improve the quality

    Once the analog VHS tape is converted to digital, SVCD or whatever format it was captured in, there's no way to improve the quality of the captured digital video file. What you have is what you have.

    You can always re-encode the SVCD video file to whatever video format you want. But you can't improve the quality.
