Who wants to have sanity run abound. It's soo much more fun when there is insanity. Then again, who is it to say sane people are insane, and insane people are sane.....hmmmmmm, gives me time to ponder.

Normal... hmmm.. Normal is a state defined by an artificially imposed set of rules. Take away the construct and the truth of Normal shines through.. It is normal to be different and individual, otherwise we would still be bacteria.

If the thought processes of an individual can be permanently limited to the point of strict conformity to an outside source of thought, the said individual need no longer be considered as such. The enforcement of order becomes possible for anybody with enough power to control what is projected.

Media brainwashing and the mob mentality.....

Nothing is real... everything is permitted.

Welcome to the Jan we know and love. :)

I see the decline of the masses in my job, not to mention the rampant stupidity we face here. Customer's have become difficult, needy (which is my nice way of saying they expect their arses smooched), and obtuse beyond measure in the last five or so years.

Why wouldn't it bleed onto a techie web site?

And I get alot of them where I work at too. Some contractor's coming in, others as new guard co-workers. Luckily, most of the real 'brain surgeon' types quit within a few weeks. Then again, I get tired of hearing them say they are looking for a better job. Already have been told to stop telling them to quit and get the better job if they can get it and stop talking about it.

Gah, I'm back in my freshman Intro to Theatre class. It should have been called "I Have A Big Ego and am Paranoid of the Media 1010 and, Oh Yeah, This Is Really A Philosophy Class -- PS, I Used to Write Screenplays for The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air."

Basic concepts, construed with unnecessarily complex syntax so as to make them seem more complicated--my professor was the master of it.

The solution to your proposed problem, however: turn off the TV and think for yourself. No matter how much money the media has, it cannot brainwash anyone who has a mind of his own. At least my prof believed this to be true, and he certainly was not normal.

A whole lot of nothing (which is real by the way) said right here... ... Sorry, couldn't help myself.

Same as... Not much learned in theater class if you don't recognise the last quote ;).. oh but.. hang about. What I remember of drama class was trying to get under the skin of a carrot or a potato.. or interpretive dance or some such total crap.

Much more fun going on Top of the Pops.. Next time you guys see the video from all those years ago count how many times I give the audience the finger.. It has it's uses being a strange goth type dancer :)
