Yeah i went through my nieces text messages. Pointless banter, horrible grammar and text speak. Nothing pertinent to...well...anything really.

I thought at first this 'xbox' just doesn't know English very well.

But I am thinking now, he is just 'one brick short of a load'

He is just stating he did tape-tissue mod, nothing else. He probably thinks he can play back-ups now, lol. He just doesn't get it.

Varnull, you're one of my favorites here. LMFAO. What a bunch of idiots. Makes me wonder if I should get into the spam business... this may be a bad time for the economy, but there's never a shortage of stupidity.

What I havent said yet is this... while it's against the rules to post emails.. the more dangerous info to post is phone makes/models and imei numders,,

Thanks to these unlock topics we get to clone at least 20 stolen phones to the identities of the ones that the idiots post on here every week. It's a big business round here.. I sell the imei numbers and info for hard cash.

Of course if I really fancied some fun I could just use the phone companies online forms.. picking them almost at random.. and getting these phones blocked. Phone number doesn't matter. Next year or so the networks total by imei block is supposed to be rolled out across most of the world.

I will.. it concerns me that it has never been thought of in the rules.

It only dawned on me the uses this information could be put to when I was asked did I have a dead such and such phone.. because there was a nice stolen and blocked one that needed a new imei flashing on it.. I didn't have one.. but I certainly found 6 or 7 imei's on the phone forums...

The way things are right now it isn't that serious of a matter.. in the next couple of years it will become very serious. As for now.. anybody caught using a phone with a cloned number is liable for arrest.. because that phone may be stolen.. if there are 3 or 4 floating around with the same number who is to say which one is the original.. people run the risk of being arrested and charged with criminal offences under the various anti theft and telecommunications laws.. for doing no more than being stupid and putting a secret and private piece of information on the net.

You wouldn't post your credit card number.. your phone imei can be used by criminals for gain in the same way. I'm not a criminal.. I provide publicly available information to others for a small fee.. what they chose to do with that information is completely up to them.

Now it's out in the open maybe somebody will say something about the situation... It may not have happened yet.. though I do recall seeing somewhere that some muppet posted his imei.. got his codes by pm and then a few weeks later had his phone blocked.

There is another way these codes can be used. Once the phone is reported lost/stolen.. it can be also reported to police, and an insurance claim made. You don't even have to have had the phone in your possession at any time.. you have the model and imei.. that's all you need... Of course again that has some serious implications for the real owner.. especially if they are trying to get a contract phone unlocked.. the phone in their pocket will be blocked..and they will also then be an accessory to insurance fraud.

You really don't want to be posting imei numbers on public forums.

I might be fun loving and wicked.. but there is a deadly serious side to me as well..
