Oh dear... Guess he was just a troll trying to get a rise out of someone. Good call checking the IP - I thought that chances of two people with all caps names in one thread seemed quite low :)

Well, I just got on study leave for my GCSEs, so that could be it?

ohhh.. somebody I can ask about that... does study leave include hanging around town all day doing nothing?
We used to get free study time.. but we were not allowed off school premisis.. somewhere the concept of duty of care seems to have been lost. I'm sure if one of these skivers was hit by a car the parents would be interested to find out their kids were allowed to roam the streets during school time... or maybe that's the point.. parents don't give a toss these days.

Well, at the end of this week, we only have to go to school for the exams, and we're not the school's responsibility aside from when we're there ;)

This week we've got revision in school and there's a sign in/out sheet to say when we've gone in for sessions - Most people stay at home unless they've got to come in for something, but say you go in for a morning session, it's not uncommon to stay in town for a bit afterwards, you'd also likely see people out at lunch.

omg...too funny. I don't know how many threads I have seen with gibberish like that.

They forget they are in a forum, not a chat site.

Well, it is and it isn't :)

This is the first time in our school lives we've been granted authorised absence during term time, and for some people they'll be the most important exams they'll ever take, so this time really is designed for us to be able to revise in whatever environment we most prefer.

It seems that the exams these days aren't really getting much easier, the marks are just boosted to fit in line with grade boundaries, take my last chemistry exam:

I'd gone through the exam with about ten minutes to spare and i was just sitting back looking through to check i'd answered everything and hadn't missed out any key information from any answers, i was pretty happy because it was one of the easiest exams i'd ever taken. Then, when it came to handing in the paper i flipped it over idly and to my utter horror there were questions printed on the back cover. Now, they NEVER do this. Ever.

9% of the marks staring me in the face on that single page, so, being the angry person i am, wrote a single swear word in huge capital letters diagonally across the whole page. I handed it in and forgot all about it, then, about a month later school got a letter from AQA (the examining body) about how i'd written this and if i ever did it again they'd disqualify me from all their exams. Ouch.

So, anyway, all the teachers were expecting me to get a pretty poor mark. When results day came and i opened the envelope: 100% ;)

What a nice little tale to show how marks are fiddled with to make it seem people do better than they really have done - i will however boast a little and say i am one of the smartest students. This, however, is a huge problem for the lower end, the C graders, the ones that just "pass" and nothing more; a C is anywhere between 60 and 70% after the marks have been fiddled with, so if i managed to get a perfect score after that i hate to think of the real marks they manage to get... I think people that manage to fail should just be put down :)

Is that a reference to him failing to complete high school? :p

He managed it in the end, so that doesn't count ;)

And edit - I just have to say this somewhere, even if I feel a bit bad about it... There's this guy in the PSP sections called Mickoz74 that manages to post this picture showing which motherboards can be hacked and information on downgrading with a Pandora Battery on nearly every single thread he posts in, even when it has absolutely nothing to do with anything *sighs disparingly*
