Heads down.. school holidays again next week..
I guess the recession is our saviour. Parents aren't buying their brats so much in the way of expensive electronics this year.

oh.. and I wasn't referring to a ten a penny website.. it's almost as big as here and provides probably a more interesting and useful service to sports fans worldwide. I love the place because it's all in fun.. I guess I'm an adult.

Quote by varnull, we actually still believe in freedom of speech and aren't ruled by the church prissy bedwetters any more. Was that hitting the nail on the head lol.

Quote Shokz, Most Americans don't really care about anything outside their borders - you never know if a statistic is made up or not these days but i heard that nearly a fifth of Americans can't even point to America on a world map ;) lol, your lucky you don't have to many yanks on this thread, this would probably start a frenzy.

Iv'e been in the UK twice these past two years and many other continents thru the years, as varnull pointed out, it's pretty much the same with religious freaks no matter were you go, unfortunatly with the 8 years of the twit Bush era it went out of control, I have been brought up catholic most of my young adult life till I finally realized religion causes nothing but problems, here in the states for those 8 years the wasps pushed thier views into politics were it doesnt belong, hell look at the muslim religion were it goes way past views and becomes ratical, not all but most so please don't get your britches in an uproar, if one loves his religion and it works for them thats great, just a shame each one thinks it's better than the other and so the hypocracy starts and e.g. killing on behalf of it.

As far as the swearing, sure I'd love to be able to let it out on threads, hell nodody has more of a trash mouth than myself, I finally retired in the construction trades after 35 years it's just the norm for us. I think AD's thinking is that it would get out of control and they probably would be right, hell every once in a while I'll let some slip in especially out of excitemnt or anger and sometimes some people deserve it, when it would start to go back and forth is when a site like AD would degrade it's principals, thus the censorship, and I wouldn't blame AD for that, once you let it get out of control your done.

And sure some mods might have nothing better to do than push that policy to the hilt which I also agree would be wrong, most I think use thier commem sense, hell I let the bomb out every once in a while after getting pissed and so far never got into any trouble, and if I did it would be on me, I know the rules and would not whine about it, what I would not do or never did just not let it get out of control, and when your pissed it can really fast. I think most mods get to know most individuals and take it from there, they know I would think who the good guys and the bad guys are, and yeah we all slip once in a while, and like I said before, as long as mods are fair and use commen sense I think were fine. And last it's just my opinion, and sure whats an old fart like me know anyway.

I do understand that there's a fair few Americans that do know about the world outside, and I have a couple of American friends that are quite knowledgeable about these things, but there's one girl about my age I talk to through MSN that can't even name a single currency aside from the dollar - tell me that's not terrible :p

LOL, I agree that is a dummy, I must also agree that you'll find that source almost anywhere you go, and from recent experiance I also agree that your youth is more knowledgable than ours, it's sad for me to say so but I call's them like I see's them lol. I have found that many in the UK have considerable more patience than we have and mostly think before they speak.

As always, it depends where you look; I go to a Grammar school and there are a lot of clever people, yet there's a Comprehensive (well, they don't call them that any more) just up the road from ours that's got some pretty dumb kids ;)

You might all notice I tend to use words in a clever way. I see no need to use bad language myself except for shock value and to hammer a point home sometimes.

My child was brought up in an environment where whatever words she chose to use were ignored.. because nothing has a greater effect on a small child than letting them know something they do to annoy you is working. XD

as for being young.. Today is the youngest you will ever be.. so act like it :)

strewth.. is that the time. I will have to run if I want bacon on toast with my coffee *grins*

it's not within the remit of this topic... but I just love threads lkike this.. don't these guys know that M$ live have eyes everywhere. I know one M$ employee who is a member of this site and hangs around the console modding forums.

They wonder how they get banned.. well posting your live account details all over a topic about flashing drives and playing burns online is a good way to bring attention on yourself.. real easy for M$ to key in those details when the player is online and look at the xbox saves profiles.. one out of region game save.. or something not released yet.. or a pre release dash... game over..

    what a bunch of muppets.
