Its good to see the UK consumer market is opting for quality rather than quantity now.

I have added direct link to my sig now only firmware weeks old will be kept in the group

Mac i live in Ireland and we have them stores here as well so only use the name and the product as an example the rest is up to the person buying but i always say if you need goods buy quality ones as you will get longer out of them

Hi all, I've read on pg 91 about updating the box from v4.50 to v4.54,I'm actually thinking of putting 4.50 back on as 4.54 is not that much better, it says the epg is supposed to be faster and correct times but it isn't, stick to what u have for the moment, two new channels with it alright, dave and virgin but their nothing worth getting excited over. % more channels seemingly on the way also so wait for another bit is what I say.

Yes we have told people of this already, regards the two new channels all boxes can get these as VM1 is FTN renamed and Dave was UKTVG.

Yes you are right the epg is not much better even though the source says you can now get up to 1 weeks worth if your freq is on providers.

But that is really the only downside.

The following improvements I have tried and tested and seems to be ok:

1/ Added new function / TV Ratio -- > you can adjust easily Letter and Full screen with "Blue Key" on the RCU.

    2. Added new function / DVB Subtitle : Press "Red Key" - > select up/down key if you want the subtitles.

    3. Added new function / 12 Categories edit and Select. -- > you can change favourite list by press blue key with the RCU on the channel edit.

    4. Added new function / Hidden channel ( Redirect channel ) -- > To Redirect channel setting, by press "S.L key" with the RCU on the channel edit

    (from wizard)

KMAC it is still an overall bug filled firmware and is beta at best . The EPG stream is also area dependent and if you post things here that Lucid posts he will be on to you :)

No problem every one is entitled to all the info possible and thanks for that.

I have numerous box types and think each one has its good points and bad points but regards firmware at a beta stage I tend to wait until all the bugs are ironed out before I decide on recommending it.

I see your point m8, but I have tested it for 2 weeks now and all is fine especially sig as very minimal freezing.
