The last time I went for 'retail' therapy I purchased a pet tortoise, the Mrs wiz not happy, but to me my wee tortoise is the only lady in my life that is happy even with a simple gesture such as dandelions, I wish this was the case for our female species :(
and the wee yein likes to watch her hero David Attenburgh, hail hail to the tortoises lol

Hi lads, just wondering is it common practise after the codes have been changed to have to switch off your boxes power supply then back on for the box to auto roll or can you leave it switched on and it'll eventually does it itself?
Also what time frame are we looking at between when the codes are changed and when the box updates itself?
    Thanks

no need to turn your box off axxxo it should only take less than a minute for the box to update, sometimes it can go over 200% so dont panic, also sometimes its needed to go into the secret menu 1570 and press the autodefault key if the box is staying on 0%.

Thanks Karljd, I was at work all day and after the last couple of changes it just seemed longer to update itself.
Didn't know if it had come back on straight away and I updated someones starview and they said it didn't work but I just think they didnt wait long enough for it, they went an put the codes in themselves so now I have to go updating the dam thing for them again.

no you shouldnt have to input the keys manually axxxo if you updated the firmware for them,as i said if its stuck on 0% for a while do the autoupdate thing.

Ill pass that info on to them for the next code change (which wont be long i'd imagine after all the panic they've caused) and that might help them out in future, probably was stock on 0 for them as all the other updates I did worked, thanks again

Press Menu > System Information and tell us what the API is please

Some firmware will not allow you access the secret menu and you will have to update it
