    Hi Anto, Fergus, Celtic, Sc0user,

basically anyone who deals with these queries all the time,

I have the black Eurovox Max V 2008 box.

I just checked the details in the System Info Screen.

    Model : DVB-XC BoxV TDA
    S/W ver 1.0 STC4 Oct 29 2007
    H/W Ver 2.0t K5
    Bootstrap v001
    S/W Build Kuro

Can anyone tell me if there is firmware i can flash for this box to fix the Autoroll issue.

    thanks a lot lads.
I've never done a flash before either...is there anything i need to know?

Steps to flash would be great.
Thanks Guys, you've always been very helpful.
    Great site.

Anto , go to the eko site (Eamo's Library) and download the new firmware for GENUINES , you can use the GT ROM Loader as previous to upload the firmware http://www.4shared.com/account/file/43712673/bcf1fc5e/CryptStar-v14-GenuineOnly.html

it auto-rolled today no problem and I have it on mine since released

ONCE AGAIN - There is no new firmware update for the clone SV. The file going around is simply a renamed version of the CryptStar-v1.4 file that was released for the GENUINE SV. How do I know, just from a quick look over the 2 files in a hex editor, they are exactly the same. Also, take a look at the output from running a Linux command, diff, first against 2 obviously different files, the cryptstar bin and the gtrom loader, and then the cryptstar bin and the clone safeautoroll.bin .
    The first one tells you that the files are different, the second gives no output because the files are the same;

    user@hostname:~/sat_stuff> diff CryptStar-v1.4-Core400.bin GTRom_v4.00.exe
    Files CryptStar-v1.4-Core400.bin and GTRom_v4.00.exe differ
    user@hostname:~/sat_stuff> diff CryptStar-v1.4-Core400.bin clone\ safeautoroll.bin

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED: Do not download any new firmware for clone SV until announced here by someone like scouser.
Don't believe me, and you don't use linux, download Windoze software and see for yourself.

    AW Celtic there ya are.

Im about to flash the Eurovox MaxV 2008 for the 1st time,
is it ok to use the steps below ?

I downloadd the exe and the readme

Connect your eurovox to you pc with the serial cable, put the box in stanby.
Unpack the file i posted earlier with winrar. Inside the file will be the loader utility and a notepad doc.
    Open the loader utility.
You may first want to backup your chanel data so you wont have to rescan for chanels.
To do this, click on the browse tab, choose a location to save your chanel data and click UPLOAD.
Now to update your firmware, click on the download tab (note there are two download tabs, to update firmware click the highest download tab, the one on its own)
Click start when the new box appears.
    Wait for update to complete.
Now you can put your chanel data back on, to do this hit the browse button, select your chanel data file and press the download tab that is next to the upload tab.
When completed hook the box back up, go to an encrypted chanel and allow about 15 mins for codes to update.

    Lads,

After flashing my Black Eurovox Max V 2008 to the latest frmware Keuro3_10_04_08

I plugged the Eurovox in and it is still saying Please wait code being updated ?
    after about 5mins.

I went into Menu and pressed yellow button and the provider and Key 00 and Key 01
    are all blank.

In the Channel Manager i still seem to have the same channels in the same order as
i saved these and reloaded them
    during flashing.

Its strange i pressed ok and the channel list appeared and i seem to have 1 channel
and thats SETANTA IRELAND, every other channell says Please Wait
    updating.

    Can anyone please help me.

    thanks
    STephen
