No problem. Dont know what it was but it seems to have been a malicious program, as spotted by Ryan.

Appreciate you deleting it cool :)

If you are in the UK I dont think so as Mr Bran*** has pulled the plug. I will see if I can get the freq for you in a minute and you are welcome to try.

I think you need to install a driver for the usb-serial adaptor cable, if I remember correctly.
    I don't use M$ as a rule, so not 100% certain.

    Hi all,

Im totaly new to all this,

Ive just after buying a starview box, the one that says "the box" on the front of it,

Ive been reading through some posts and i see that you type in 1570 at the main menu to open another menu to type in the codes,

But nothing happens when i press 1570??

I had a look at the software date and april 07 is on it,

Do i need to flash the box for it to work?

Where do i get the latest flash ware for it??

Im in Ireland aswell as i know the codes are differnt than those in the U.K,

    Sorry for all the questions,

    Derek.

Try 1668 its the master code. The new codes are:
New n*l keys 8th July Ireland

    Line 00 = A9 86 6E EA 39 EA 09 49

    Line 01 = 9E 40 85 78 E7 82 10 06

There is a new version of firmware out for "The Box". There is all the info you need in the link marked Eamos Library at the end of my post.

Firmware can be found in "The Box" folder make sure you download the Irishversion. Download the GTromloader from the Starview software section. Also download the Starview PDF Guide, this is in the Starview Documentation folder.

You will need a DB9F to DB9F null modem cable to load from you pc to "The Box". Here is a link to show you info on the cable.

    Null modem info here
