hi all. need advice. some of my channels get bad reception, every now and then a channel with bad recetion will crackle and break up, its quite annoying. this isnt the case with all channels, just a select few. is this a problem with the cable feed or the box? and what of signal boosters? could they fix the problem? as it could be a case of weak signal? thanks for any input

Depends upon your signal strength as a booster may actually make the signal worse. It is not only a weak signal that can be a problem, but an over powered signal can be just as bad.

If it’s not (or you are re-scanning to pick up new/lost channels) – press the MENU Button, go to Installation, then User Installation – you’ll be prompted for a PIN which by default is 0000.

Press the Yellow Button (this will bring up the option to Power Scan)
Using the “Normal” (default option) press the OK on your remote control
This step will take about 10-25 minutes. Please be patient.
