    Hi Mc
you first need to get all the channels on your box first then do a sorted list when you have this done you can transfer the channel dump to your pc using the gtrom loader open the loader click on the channel data file then click upload another box will open up put the name for your dump and then press save and it will start uploading the dump to your pc hope this helps you

    hi all.
this might be a stupid question but i pressume about dumping, all makes of boxes have their own system,so if i did starview dump it would not work on digivox/eurovox/etc not compatible? i have never dumped before as it never bothered me.
if i do a dump it will be a recycled one ha ha ha lol.

the channel dump on a starview will work on TheBox all the rest are stand alone dumps each to their respective boxes

    Morning All.
A friend of mine is having trouble with bad and scrambled ch's on THE BOX. Can anyone post the thread for complete guide or tuning in of this unit as he has asked me to try sort it out for him. I searched the site but couldn't find a full guide or any info on this.(My searching abilities must be really bad)
    Thanks for your help

There are a few things we need to know first which is what firmware he is using weather or not you are in the Uk or Ire

go to menu system information and see what API version is on the box thanks

    God fergus you're up early!

I am in Dublin, not sure about firmware.
He told me he bought it last week..you know the usual... from the seller, "all you have to do is plug it in and you're all set" unquote!
Can you let me know the programme scanning set up and if there is an EMU option I need to worry abnout.
    Cheers Fergus

in order for you to set the box up you need to know what firmware is on it as when you buy it the correct firmware will not be on it as they are not allowed to sell with it on it for legal reasons so if you can find that out because if the correct firmware is not on it you will have to flash the box first ok

and yes my back is at me today that is the only reason i am up so early
