Its possible u have had a power surge and it may have blown the box, if you speak to Ferg he may be able to help u sort it. failing that if u send me a PM I will send you a link to where you can buy the Starview 2 the box same place I bought mine and I have never had 1 bit of hassle. But as I say Ferg should be able to help you as he is good with the Hardware side of things by the looks of his previous posts

Sorry if this is a silly question, but wondering if i can get some help with my starview box.

I got "The Box" a couple of weeks ago and put 4.5 on it. I thought that this version automatically updated the codes when they change.

Turned on the box this morning and it's saying bad channel or scrambled for all the channels.

Do i need to change the codes, or is there something in the settings that i should change?

Any help much appreciated. Oh, and i have NTL.

Keep an eye on future posts because I hear that new firmware will be released soon for starview models.

Thanks for the help lads, after a couple of hours of showing me the bad channel screen i just checked it again (with the intention of unplugging it) and it's fixed itself somehow.

I'm in Ireland so 4.5 should be the firmware i need i think.

Prob an over utilised network that is creating a low signal I get it on certain frequencys sometimes, a wee sig amplifier should improve. I get mine from a company called Technet*x cost about 2.50
