Information about upcoming Halo 3

Anyway, the BC is like with PS2, how you can play PS1 games on a PS2. The problem is the engine has to be dumbed down a little so the older games can be played. I have to ask how old you are just to make sure I'm not losing you.

Regardless, Xbox and PS2 came out at about the same time and have similar construction. So the question has to be asked, why do PS2's graphics look so childish when put next to an Xbox? Have you played Grand Theft Auto Vice City on both consoles? On the Xbox, the lines are sharper, charcters are clearer and overall it's just a better playing game on the Xbox.

I say, don't dumb down the Xbox next. I already have an Xbox so I can play my Xbox games. I want Xbox 2 to monkey stomp PS3.

 

dudes, we're talking about microsoft here. Bill Gates. You really think he's gonna produce a machine that will be able to play the old games? I seriously doubt it. They will want to get as much money as possible for their new system, and that will include having to pay for both the new system and games.

This will allow MS to make even more money, because then the original xbox will dramatically be reduced in price, and the people who cannot afford the current xbox (or will not be able to afford the Xbox 2) will be able to buy the original and any games they want for it. Make sense?

Yes, they need to release Halo 2.5 (I'm just gonna call it that from now on, b/c Halo 3 should be the promo game for the Xbox 2) as soon as possible...

 

I agree about Microsoft making the Xbox 2 only play Xbox 2 games. Because its true, they would have to mess with the graphics card and make it so it can play both new and old games so they would have to make the graphics less better and then it wouldnt really be worth having an Xbox 2 if the graphics are gonna be almost the same as the first Xbox. But I agree that if/when they release Halo 3, it should come out with XBox two kinda like how Halo came with the first one (I think not 100% sure).

Novus, website looks good. Hard to read the text b/c of the green color though (but don't change it, I love that dark green). Find a way to change the text and make it lighter. Your "extra" link could be to redvsblue.com, or bungie.halo.net. Overall it looks pretty good, just needs some pages attached to the links.

they are really well written. They set first before halo 1 and during halo 1 and halo 2, they are now workin on books after halo 2

Damn you fagbags really need to get a life my bad Im just kidding. I was suppose to be long gone out of this forum but some of you had to bring in the PS2 into this. Come on now why would you say bad things about the ps2 I mean you obiously havent been playing enough of it. The ps2 is completely kick ass and especially most of its games and definately GTA san andreas which is off the hook!!! Way more better than Halo2. I mean whats better than building your own empire and hireing your own gang. And some of the ps2's graphics are complete sweet as hell now believe that, some games have so much graphics they make xbox look like X-suck.You know what I use to be the same way with xbox until I played ps2. Dont get me wrong I am both an xbox ans ps2 fan and Im just trying to look out for them. By the way the reason I came back was to see if anyone had responded to my question. And yes I have read the halo books and its mainly about 75 kids being kidnaped and replaced with clones as they are trained in the spartan 2 project but only 30 manage to be spatans but they all die as one manages to survive and go on to the ring world halo and that is John also known as master chief. By the way Im out of my famous predictions for now.

 

I hear a lot of people talking about Halo 2.5 or 3 or whatever the hell it's called coming out in February or whenever. I haven't beaten Halo 2 yet but I have heard from everyone that the story ends so abruptly.

For that reason I could see why people are going to start saying "oh there's going to be another Halo because the story ended like this..."

One reason I don't believe in another Halo coming out anytime soon is that it just doesn't make any damn sense. Why in the world would Bungie/Microsoft release the biggest game of the year and not say a word officially to the public that even hinted that there was going to be a continuation of the story?? I find it hard to believe that all of a sudden Bungie comes out and says "Surprise! There's another Halo! We know you just bought #2 a couple months ago so now for another $60 here's the rest of it!" I don't know....just sounds very stupid to me.

I'm sure there's going to be a Halo 3 eventually. I don't expect it out for at least a couple of years though. Maybe not until the next xbox. Yeah Halo 2 might have been too big to fit onto 1 disc and so they would have split it, but it sounds more logical that they would just say "let's just wait and bring it out later.

I could be wrong but I just don't think this talk about it coming out within the next few months is even logical.

T-Spartan: C'mon dude, you can't be serious about PS2's graphics. The PS2's graphics are on par with the Dreamcast. The cut scenes are always good, but that's only cause it's basicly a movie. Actual gameplay is pretty week.

Look at games that are on both consoles; Madden, GTA and such. There's no comparison, X-box layeth the smacketh down. And look at the marginal improvement from PS1 to PS2. It's almost a PS 1.5 instead of 2.

I wonder why Sony was so hesitant for Rockstar to make GTA for X-box. Could it be that they knew this would show their shortcomings?

Actually, John isnt the only spartan left, because in the last Halo book, First Strike, they say that one is wounded, but never said she died, Sarah or something like that is her name. But you have to think though too, if the Spartan Program had at least 30 successes out of 70, its not like they wont try again. I mean they may have made modifications to their experiements so that it is more likely for the testers to live through the excruciating process of being able to with stand the power of the Mark 6 armor. ALso, look at it this way....if they dont mention anything about Halo 3 or Halo 2.5 right away even though a majority of the public says there "has to be", it makes for a good marketing stradgety(fusk I cant spell lol). Also though, they did say they will make downloadable content for the game, so, maybe thats how they will finish the game. They will just spread it out over a time(Maybe as a count down to XBox 2???? Or possibly a count down to the actual next Halo game????? And the downloadable content would be just little clips or something...who knows, we will have to wait and see) Those are my two cents on this subject.
