Information about upcoming Halo 3

In response to the above....exactly! If there was going to be another Halo to finish this one off why is there no info other than people saying "I heard..."

Sh** there would be websites, magazine articles, etc. at the very least HINTING at another Halo game. Like I said earlier, logically it just doesn't make sense. Bungie is going to bring out the last portion of the game only a few months after selling probably the biggest game in history?? They're making money off of all the people who joined LIVE, and all the people who actually got the game. What would they do with another Halo? Add online support again? change a couple of little things? Think like a capitalist bastard business man...you would want to release it in such a way where you leave your customers hanging so that they will be guarenteed to buy the next product. Now that (to me) makes perfect sense!

 

Oh I know! They are just doing this whole thing probly so they can get more money seein as most if not all are pissed at how crappy the ending was(dont get me wrong, its still a good game). But they could have at least finished it off the way they finished Halo 1, I mean have some sort of ending and not some crappy cliff hanger.

 

well of course they want to make more money why make one mean as game and make a sertan amount of money when they can stop the second one where it leaves everyone wanting to "finish the fight" so they make into 2 games and make twice as much money, seems pretty logical to me!

EXACTLY....which is why I'm saying that they took FOREVER making halo 2. They programmed SO much stuff that the whole game wouldn't fit on 1 disc, so they split it into 2. My guess is that they have the entire 2nd part of the game completed, they're just looking to do some rennovations to XBL (adding new maps/weapons etc.)

And yes, the PS2 does suck. The graphics are terrible, and you have to $buy$ multiple memory cards if you want to save everything. You have to $buy$ an adapter to play with four people. You have to $buy$ a network adapter to play online. You have to $buy$ the hard drive if you want to play final fantasy online. The only thing you have to $buy$ for the XB is the DVD adapter (totally worth it). Did anyone play Transformers for the PS2? I was so unbelieveably dissapointed, that game could have been so much cooler. Yes yes, GTA is very cool, but is a FAR much better game on the XB. And it's not multiplayer...now is it? So your buddies just sit around and watch while you play...really fun.

Gimme an XBox and Halo 2 anyday. Find me another 1st person shooter that matches up on the PS2...

 

I have to back up PS2 as well, new Metal Gear Solid, (Snake eater) kicks ass(halo2 is much better thuo).

 

I read through all of the pages and I just have to say something:

First of all. Those pictures, which someone claimed to be from Halo 3, are actually pics from Halo 1. They are back from the time when it was supposed to come only for Mac and PC.

And about Halo 3: You are stupid to believe these "my cousin's littlebrother's dog works at Bungie"-people. They have given us nothing that could make us believe - Maybe except that (possibly fictional) plot. We'll see at february, if they were telling the truth, but before an official word comes out, I wouldn't bet on Halo 2.5/3 coming so soon.

And btw: The guy who had "There are those who said this day would never come. What are they to say now (or something similar)" on his signature has heard the second sentence wrong by what I think. I have always heard it like: "What a day to say no". Sounds more reasonable, doesn't it? Listen how the prophet pronounces his last word (no/now) and you might understand my point of view.

But I could aswell be wrong, so someone please tell me, if there's a proper answer to this somewhere.

 

I think Shocked is completely right. I don't believe a word about the next Halo unless it comes from an official source. All these guys claiming to have family working for Bungie...

This is the age of the internet folks!!! Nothing is a secret anymore. We would have heard something official. Hell....games are leaked weeks before they come out!!! And everyone is saying that there's another Halo BEFORE there is any official word?

Hey it's nice to dream! But guys I think we're all SOL until the next Halo comes out and that won't be for quite a while!!!

Just for all you guys who are weary about there being no 'leaked' information on the web, has anyone considered the fact that we ARE the info? Ive gotta say, true or false, this forum has the most info and links than any other page I can find. I'm back by the way, anyone I was talkin with last nite still on? I don't have enough time to read this entire thread but I think that you guys are right because I read that when you complete Halo 2 in legendary mode, the end cut-scenes are the same as other levels apart from one line of text at the end:

or something like that. Could somebody confirm this, I think I read it somewhere on joystiq.com

hey guys your boy T-spartan is back again so you can all stop crying. Ive decided to stay on this forrum for a while longer ever since I checked up on this forrum I realized how long this is getting so if you guys are going to keep it up so will I because Im here to stay. By the way I apoligize for my last reply I kinda got pissed off when I heard people talking smack about the ps2 because Im both a ps2 and xbox fan.

Hey since you guys love me so much and beged for my return heres a new famous prediction of mine.

the forunners are actually us in the future and in the future the forrunners(humans) are going across the universe to study different species. To do these observations the forunners built 7 great environmental laboratories with earths atmosphere. They named these laboratories halo's. The forunners came across many different species but there was one that caught the forunners interest. There were very few of these left so the forunners decided to take it to their laboratories to observe them. The species was soon named the flood for their ability to spread quickly using hosts. Unfortunately there was an outbreak and the flood consumed anything in their way. The forunners tried their best to battle the the flood but the flood just kept spreading and getting smarter. All 7 halo's became infected with the flood. Using all avalable resources the forunners had no choice but to activate all halos from a remote location using the ark in hopes of stopping the flood from spreading. Do to the floods ability to reanimate the blast wouldnt kill them but wipe out there food. The existing flood would not be killed but they will be stopped from spreading. The ark which is located on earth was activated and as a result everything was destroyed. But since the activation had never been tested it tore a hole through time and space so the ark and the halos were sent to the past.
