i have this virus, i dont know what it is but it is effecting my computer massivly. my internet browser has been hujacked, a virus alert pops up with norton every few minuted sayin that i have a virus and it cant b resolved, and i have used about 4 antivirus programs to try and get rid of them to no avail. i have used spybot D&D, norton, look2me and ad aware s.e. here is the HJT log file... .......................................................................................................................................... Go here http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 and download both AVG and Ewido. Install and update both. Restart in safe mode(press F8 upon boot, select "Safe Mode" from menu). Run both scans. Restart in normal mode. Post a new HijackThis log after scans. Let me know what, if anything, they find: names please.

Ok, you need to delete all the quarantined items in Ewido, if they are still in quarantine. Are you still having troubles with viruses/trojans? Your looking clean in the log but, they can hide. Does Norton give you a error or does it hang?
i think that may have done the job, thnx for that, but i still have a sneaking suspicion that my internet is hijacked, but i could be wrong lol. And norton does have an error window, it says "Norton AntiVirus cannot find the task. You may not have rights to read the task. Check your user settings." i am an administrator, and the only user of this computer, so i dont think that it should be saying these things. nortons reply to this was completly remove Norton and Re-install it. i do not think that this was my fault as i do not mess around with user settings or other stuff like that. thanks for the help on the viruses, and thnx in advance for any helkp that you may give me with my nortin problem.
Your clean. I don't think your still hijacked. Let me know if you notice any "fishy" activity becasue like I said before, some viruses can hide. And yes, you will have to reinstall Norton. That's what their site says. Other sites say this is because Norton was also infected. Uninstall Norton AntiVirus. Start the computer without any programs running on startup.(in other words, safe mode) Reinstall Norton AntiVirus.
