I am using a Mac G5 with Mac OSX. Just start to use dvd studio pro. learning it by my own. manage to do everything (almost). Make menus, buttons, slideshows. The one i cant do is import a movie. i have a dvd movie with 3 different home made movies as one. i want to split them, choose parts of them and write them in a new dvd as 3 seperate movies with it's own chapter each one. i cant import vob files in dvd studio. i try convert vob files to avi but when i import them in dvd studio i have no sound... what can i do? I have to apologie if i cant explain my problem better, but i am Greek and dont speak the english soo well.
Hello fellow Greek. Ti Kaneis? DVD Studio pro works with M2V files (mpeg 2). You must "demux" the files to M2V before you can use them. Or you must convert the files to quicktime, DV or anything you can then convert back go M2V.
Polli kala, efharisto (i am doing fine, thank you) Thanks for the reply. Which programme do i have to use to convert vob to M2V? Can you give me more details? If it is possible. Thanks again
i try to work with cinematize but what ever i try cant hear sound when i import the files in DVD studio. Dont know what am i doing wrong. I thing it got to do something with the way ths dvd was made. they write this dvd (the one i am trying to take the files from) from a vhs tape. they must have done something strange when they transforme it in dvd. Cinematize sees the audi stream as Audio1(unspecified, Mpeg-1) I try to use cinematize with another dvd, and the files (for the movie and the sound) was importes and played ok in DVD studio. The difference was that in the output dialoge box of cinematize there is a section named Save QuickTime as... in the 2cond dvd i use the choise was No QuickTime Output, but i cant choose that choise when i use my DVD.... Are you lost trying to understand what i am writing?
When you rip the disc can you play it with dvdplayer? Do you get sound then? Also when putting files into dvdstudio pro, you have seperate audio and video files.
