@Lp531 You might want to try a DVD lens clener on the player - if the lens is dusty may cause some problems. Check the disc in the pc too - see if any audio out of sync there. Ok - I backed this one up w/ Clone DVD and AnyDVD. Full back up - just removed some audios and a few special features. Not a hitch After reading freedom2 post - tried Shrink w/ AnyDVD - didn't give me a problem. Realized I haven't updated AnyDVD - still on version 6.0.3.1. Wonder if that's the diff? After reading Ireland's post think I'll just wait a few days before I update.
No problems with disc in PC, or with file stored on PC, just the stand alone player. Player is 3 days old. Only played about 6 movies with it. It should not be dirty.
@rbrock Lp531 had an audio problem on the backup @Lp531 If you do have any more playback problems w/ this player - lens cleaner can't hurt. Had a skipping or not playing issue on my mom's brand new player on backup's (taiyo & verb). Lens cleaning did they trick on her's.
Backed up inside man successfully, so I thought. Plays fine on my PC. Playback in standalones stops at scene 18 Follow the Ring, Player freezes up when scene is accessed from the selection menu. Tools ----- DVDFab Decrypter VOB Blanker Nero Recode Sony DVD+R 16x 750 ml Jack Daniel's 2-Liter Coca Cola 1-Pack Newport 100's I'll give it another try with RipIt4Me
@opensorce lol- like the last 3 tools you used - I might tweak those a bit (switch the jd for absolut) Sounds like your problem in playback may be more of a dvd player being picky bit. What was the burn speed? Firmware of the drive up to date?
@binky7 Absolutely - I'll give it a try, My fireware is up to date, the burn speed was 8x, 4x skips and freezes during playback, the problem was found on multiple dvd players, my standalone DVDR which plays everything even heavily scratched discs showed the flaws, That's when I put my drink down... Since reading this thread, I've been able to correct those errors. I have a flawless backup now, Thanks... Drinks are on me....
hi, read the sig. peace gareente it will work, unless there is some type of new proteciton on it, but there isnt
hmmm this all sounds ominous, but using dvd decryptor didn't work, now using dvd decrypter with ripit4me and so far so good will post updates as and when... One question though; does this software work on red sony discs?
