install disk

    hi, ok i have just bought a ibook out of the local paper but the thing is that i was told the admin password and i forgot it (should have wrote it down duhh). and i heard you can reset the password with the setup disks, but i was not given any. my point is, is there anyway to burn a boot disk just so i can change or remove the password as i can't use the damn thing and this is the only mac i own so can it be burnt with a pc?

    any help would be appiciated

    go back to the person that sold it to you and get the password again. log in and fix the password..

    either that or if you get the new os and do a clean install of it.

    what OS is it on? you should just be able to pick up tiger OS 10.4 Tiger and do a clean install on that..

    what are the specs on the machine? do you know that?

    thanks for you reply i found out how to remove it without the disks so it's sorted now, thanks anyways. :)
