   im building a new pc and i need to know how do i install vista onto a blank hdd do i just pop disk in and start it up or is there something more i need to do?

   AXT Guest

   you need to configure the MB bios to boot from the DVD rom first instead of booting from the HDD. Save and exit. Pop in your disk and enjoy.
