I just brought a new dvd burner but have a strange problem when i hook my cd drive up and dvd burner up none of the drives show in my computer when i take out the dvd drive and leave the cd drive in my cd drive is working how can i install the dvd burner so i can use it?
You may have to switch it to a slave drive first. This can be done by reading the top of the physical drive and finding if u have to move the notch.
Yeah,as borhan9 has mentioned,make sure that one drive is set to master and the another to slave and this will solve your problem.
May I add, if you have a DELL, they use "cable select" for their jumper settings on optical drives. Check you pc's manual.
