i know this may be old news to people, but what do u think? macs r going to start running on intel. just the thought makes me sick. it sounds like from what the news says is that the macs that r purchased from now to march 2006 are going to be obsolete guess i will just need to buy a pc after all.
but i thought pee cees were the root of all evil? lol anywayz.. i know.. it sucks.. i got customers that call me asking me when the new machines are out and what pricing will be... then they have the nerve to get pissy when i dont know. i tell them that their guess is as good as mine. i wonder how you would boot those.. i mean, wouldnt you be able to run pc and mac on it.. i'm' guessing you can to it like we do classic mode. but it will suck sooooo so bad. the intel processor may be "better" according to apple.. but who cares.. i dont want a pee cee... that just makes me want to save up for a 2.7PM... the current ones.. at least i would be running pure mac.. i know it may be "better" on the new ones... but i luv mac.. i'm actually just a recent convert from pee cee. i think my first computer ever, was an imac g3 333mhz.. its a dinosaur now.. but still good. i went to pc and just came back to the "light" with my mac mini. we'll see...
yeah that will be funny when the new ones come out. my guess, they will crack a way to run XP on the mac, and at speeds that asre resonible to run. ( slow virtual pc) anyway it will be cool to see. F.Y.I. i read some stuff that siad that the new macs with intel on them are going to come out late 2005, or early 2006, and when all machines are intel base, it will be out in mid 2006. just help u give an answer to your customers
i was expecting that date.. maybe mid 06... but they're asking like very specific questions on the specs on the machines. i dont freakin now.. i havent had one in a while but i'm sure as we get closer, there will be more. i may end up getting the current 2.7 PowerMac when the new machines are out b.c i know they will have price drops.. we'll see
well tell them this... my friend has one it runs on a 2000ghrz, has a 1000 tb hd, 5000 gb of ram, and it only cost $5,000. lol unless u work for intel or apple and using the prodotype of the machine, how do they xpect u 2 know what they will be like. i don't even think they have a sample made yet, or even a operating system for it to work.
