    sure, do your bit as they say. In that case buy an AM2 X2 low power 3800+ that uses 35W. Do your bit for the environment. I'm allowed to do this because I don't yet drive.

    All this time I thought it was carbon dioxide, monoxide, other fluorocarbons (along with methane from farting cows) that contributed to global warming. Now I know it was overclocking the whole time! I may want to rethink cracking into this Opteron.
    Nope, I'm gonna gamble with my daughters future. When the world implodes, and our spirits are traveling around wondering what happened, know that I got the Opty past 2.7!!!

    what are you on about you retard!?
    if you use more power the power stations need to burn more raw materials to make your power which gives off poisonous gases

    Wasnt trying to get your knickers twiztid kid. I do mean kid because your words proove that. Step back a second and think of upping processes .05v at a time, on a power supply that always sucks the same power out of your wall. That energy is already taken by your power supply and all this tweaking stresses your power supply that still draws that same amount of power out of the wall.
    By the way, I bought my house with my wife a year ago because it was in one of the only countys whose energy comes from windmills.
    PLEASE lets move on, I wanna see more screenshots so I can get an idea about where to start on my board.

    PeterG969,

    I hate to point this out but Global Warming no longer exists! The Scientist's say it peaked back in the 70s and has been cooling ever since. In fact there was a show on one of the PBS channels about just that recently which ws where my information comes from. That's why you never hear anything about it anymore from the Government because they know there's nothing to it.

    Happy Computering,
    theonejrs

    If everyone in the world flushed the toilet at the same time we'd really be in trouble.
    I know this isn't the overclock thread, but where do some of you guys start first to achieve the better benchmarks, Ram?, FSB+ or - with multiplyer? Are these the same between AMD & INtel? I mean motherboard being the same, would Intel OC better by tweaking one area while AMD gets strength from another? Just curious.

    @theonejrs,
    Ran prime95 last night for just over 4 hours with no problems,thats good enough for me!

    Not finished yet!!
    New benches at 2.75GHZ.
    CPU voltage @1.504v(bit higher than stock!)
    Memory voltage @2.7v(.1v over stock)
    Check the cpu temp(fan 3 on the chart)stock cooling.
    Maybe with an aftermarket cooler my cpu will turn into an iceblock!!LOL.
    I will get a thermometer to put in this room today so I know exactly the ambient room temp.
    @sammorris,I noticed that the images arent perfectly clear?
    I use image shack and resize for message boards.Maybe I am missing something?

    theonejrs obviously you live in the us as global warming is not a problem for george bush(he chooses to ignore it) in the uk where we are sensible we have problems statng what climate change can do and are trying to find more eco friendly alterntaives unlike u americans with your big cars and your feeling that you are better than everybody else (and dont deny it!)

    We're british, we have um.... big cars (including a GMC in fact). Two other cars use Rover V8 engines, that stem from Buicks. Leave an american-slate out of this. If you fancy a laugh, feed the american and win an ipod. You'll see the popup soon enough.

    @sammorris,
    Those were the timings I had when I first booted at 2.75GHZ.
    So tightened the timings a bit to see how it would go.No problem.
    I will keep going with the current timings and when I hit a pot hole,
    try loosening the timings a bit.

    PeterG969,

    You just picked up a week suspension for your off topic and abusive posts. I suggest taking that time to adjust the attitude.

    If you rejoin before your suspension is over both your new and old accounts will be permanently deactivated.
