Intel vs. AMD

I tend to prefer high detail over high res. The 800 won't make games look crap, I run a similar spec card now, the AGP Pro, and that runs most ace-looking games. I'd suggest 19", cheaper, and few games will allow 1600x1200 at respectable detail. I'd sooner have 1024x768 maximum than 1600x1200 minimum.

It's a much better card and it has 16 Pixel Pipelines instead of 12. The more Pixel Pipelines, the more moving objects that can be put on the screen. I'm getting The AGP version of this card for my computer and it's supposed to be the fastest AGP card on the planet. In PCIe x16 it's worth every penny of the $60 difference! Especially if you are a Gamer!!! You will thank me later!!!

and i dont have ang.. except for my parents....

 

will it look really crappy on the 20 inch? with the powercolor?
i cant get a better one (X1800XT) without asking for more money..
and come christmas, i plan to get a new conroe system or somthing..
or do yall think i should just get the 1900XT and be done with it..?
but i will need to get a new monitor soon anyways.. this thing leaves a line that swirves to the right.. but it is not noticable unless it is displaying black or somthing..

Really helpful. How about making a relevant addition to this discussion rather than just flaming other members. Go on then, you're so smart, tell me how I can move these drives from a VIA KT600 chipset to an nForce4 ultra chipset using only their integrated controllers and not doing anything to the partitions on the drives. Oh wait you can't do it, what a shame. I've no intention of counter-flaming, because it's immature, but if I did, I'd probably use this line.

I am. Harsh buthow someone can make it to a senior member and then post that garbage is beyond me. It's just not called for and it doesn't look like he got the hint. Suppose he'll one day pet his cat while building a PC and then wonder why the RAM doesn't work...

 

Anyway, back to the grind. Do any of you guys know how far Sopocles OCed the Pentium D 805 with his build? What's the highest you guys know of someone OCing it stabily?

 

The grind? You make this sound like a chore of a thread, I think it's thoroughly interesting (although the hounds thread is arguably moreso with the movements of brobear, sophocles and others)
