    Since defrag last week I cant access any secure web sites..https or messenger. All I get when trying some of the sites is a warning that security settings prevent activex controls being used on this computer,I have them in trusted sites, have reset security settings to default , I have 128 bit encryption, I cant download any microsoft updates because it says it cant find a file. Any help anyone?????
    By the way I'm using winXP home

    See if you can do a system restore and get it back to how it was.

    Start-->
    All Programs-->
    Accessories-->
    System Tools-->
    System Restore-->
    Just select a restore point prior to your last defrag.
