    Dear All,

I have just bought a LaCie d2 DVD Burner and I am having some difficulty burning discs.

I receive the error "Invalid block address" report during disc Lead-in. Then the burn process will terminate two minutes later.

I have tried various types of discs including; Panasonic DVD-R 16x, Verbatim DVD-R 16x, Philips CD-R, and Verbatim CD-R.

I have tried buring at different speeds, which seems not to solve the problem.

I have tried burning different content such as .iso images, .avi files, and .mp3 files. No improvement seen.

I updated the drive's firmware, but this did not help either.

I would be gratefull for any help you can give. Thanks.

    Hi afcouling
    Here's a few suggestions:
    Burn process failed at 16x
    Take it down to 8x.

    Drive not ready
Something running may be tying up the burner so close any running programs that you don't need.

I'd also try another firewire port or if you have a 2.0 usb cable to connect this drive try that.

    File 'Drivers\CDRALW2K.SYS
Nero and Roxio don't always play well together so you can uninstall Roxio and run it's zap tool to remove all traces.

All that fails try burning one of the iso's w/ ImgBurn. Good free burning program.

Give those a go and let us know.
