Question IOS emulator Samsung Galaxy 5

I need to download and run an IOS app to work a (n expensive hard to get) gadget. I found Cider/Cicada = IOS Emulator.

I would like to hear from anyone who has used an IOS emulator. I am trying to find an alternate source for the free app I need because the app bundled with the emulator does not seem to work.

#1 Will this app even run with the emulator? Apple is always updating the IOS for its phones so maybe the emulator is outdated?

#2 Is there some other way to get the app (I am asking the company) assuming that the answer to #1 is yes.
