how do i ftp my box if i can't identify it's ip address?

You can change/see the IP address of your box on screen when the box is booting. Also, you can search through the menu for Network Settings via the 'dbox' button. Here you can change it to whatever IP address you want.

 

thanks for the help but my box freezes on 'loading kernal' when booting so don't get chance to see anything

 

You cant FTP to your box if it is stuck at loading kernal
The only wat to go now is to reflash with ifa here if youwant it reflash anew image here if you want that an all. Once done you will have a new ip address and you can ftp again hope this helps ...........Paul
