Hi, I have an iphone 4 4.1 jailbroken. I want to restore the phone to factory settings on the 4.1 firmware. I download the firmware and restore but I get a 3194 error. I tried ireb and it didnt work. I added 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com to the host file and it didnt work. Please help. Thanks
The updates have to be verified by Apple's servers now so you will probably have to restore and update it to 4.2.1
No there is no need for this...old ipsw files are not verified by Apple so what you'll need is a Virtual(Fake) Apple Server running on ur machine to verify ur ipsw. Download and run TinyUmbrella. you'll need Java installed and u'll need to disable the firewalls to runTinyUmbrella. YouTube Tinyumbrella on how to do it
